Ways to Serve
Christmas Day Meals on Wheels & Gifts for Our Shut-Ins
December 19, 2025
By Pam Caffey
Church Secretary
This Christmas morning, consider making a meaningful impact by volunteering as a family to help provide a meal for some of our elderly neighbors through Christmas Day Meals on Wheels. Your time and kindness will help brighten the holiday for those who may otherwise spend it alone.
As in previous years, we are inviting you to contribute to the meal by cooking turkey, ham, dressing, sides, and desserts. If you would like to participate, please add your name to the sign-up sheet, which can be found in the West Room. Your commitment and support are greatly appreciated.
We will meet in Fellowship Hall at 9:00 a.m. Christmas morning. This is also a great time of fun and fellowship for us as we enjoy holiday snacks and box the meals.
We are also seeking teams to help deliver the prepared meals. Delivering meals is a wonderful way to share the spirit of the season and connect with members of our community.
For additional details or if you have any questions, please contact Pam Caffey at 214-538-4727.
Remembering Our Shut-Ins
On Christmas Morning as we are delivering Meals on Wheels, we also deliver filled stockings and gift bags with the meals and to our shut-ins. These are filled with fun gifts, such as puzzle books, candy, and small gifts — but also include essentials that our senior citizens can use, such as paper products, cleaning products, and other everyday items.
If you can donate any of the following, please bring to church on Sunday, or by the office on Monday. We need about 15 of each. For more information, contact Charrise Martin at 469-410-1895.
Paper towels (single or double pack), 4-pack of toilet paper, Kleenex, hand sanitizer wipes, hand lotion, puzzle books, candy/snacks, socks, note pads, pens, greeting cards/stamps, dish soap, shampoo/conditioner, and small gifts for senior citizens.
