The spirit of the Lord is upon us to bring good news to all the world. May we be strengthened for this work through our time of worship. (See Isaiah 61:1.)

As we continue to approach Christmas Day, our joy grows more and more. This Third Sunday of Advent some branches of the Christian church call Gaudete, or Rejoice, Sunday. May we find joy in worshiping God and anticipating the celebration of Christ’s birth.

Welcome one and all to Sunday Morning Worship @ First United Methodist Church-Kaufman.

Pastor Rhea shares his message ““Have you named Him – Man of Sorrows?” as taken from Isaiah 53:2-6.

Psalm 100:1-3 Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come into his presence with singing.

Let us join together as one body and sing praises with one voice for His glory.

“The First Noel”
“Good Christian Friends Rejoice”
“Hark! The Herald Angels Sing”
“Go Tell It on the Mountain (Refrain)”

As you go out into the wonder of God’s creations, let joy live in your heart and share the joy of Christ with all you meet. “The Joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10)

We hope you have enjoyed this time of Praise and Worship for our ever present, loving God. Our prayer is that you have received God’s blessing today. If you are so moved, why don’t you be a blessing and share this message with others by clicking “Like” and Share from this FaceBook page.

As we continue to approach Christmas Day, our joy grows more and more. The third candle takes us back to the joyful anticipation of the shepherds who journeyed to see Jesus in Bethlehem, even before the wise men.

Lord God, may we, your people, who look forward to the birthday of Christ experience the joy of salvation and celebrate that feast with love and thanksgiving. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
